So, as you can suspect I had forgotten about this blog once again. It's not even cute anymore, it's annoying. (Me forgetting, not the blog, hehehe.)
I swear if it wasn't for that VOX newsletter I would have completely forgotten about this blog a long long long time ago.
Thanks for the newsletters VOX! Keep 'em comin'!
============================
So anyway, I bring you today one of my 90's guilty pleasures!! ;)
Before there was an Elliot Stabler & Olivia Benson (L&O: SVU), there was Chris Lorenzo & Rita Lee Lance!!
They were the hottest detectives of the 90's.
The Place: Palm Beach PD (it was filmed in California, though.)
The Show: Silk Stalkings
The Actors: Rob Estes & Mitzi Kapture
I absolutely LOVE this show!!! Ok, so it's no SVU, but it was awesome!!
Sure the colors of the sets & clothes were bright enough to make you blind, the writing wasn't the absolute best and some the show's plots were pretty unbelievable, but that's all part of what makes this show so great.
But the best part of the show were the two leads. Rob Estes as Sgt. Chris Lorenzo & Mitzi Kapture as Sgt. Rita Lance.
The chemistry between these two cannot be beat! You want sexual tension... you got it! And very out in the open and clear for everyone to see. The even kissed a few times while being undercover. None of that SVU-Olivia-&-Elliot-we're-best-friends-but-we-secretly-have-the-hots-for-each-other-but-won't-fess-up-to-it thing.
No way! Rita & Chris were the cutest best friends to ever appear on a TV screen, they hug, hold hands, the works. But they would let each other know (and the viewers) that they would totally get together if the opportunity presented itself. And they did!!! Right in Season 5! And it was good!! LOL!
I am lucky enough to own Seasons 1 & 2. I'm just finishing the second season now, and it's just too good.
And I so want the other three seasons. (The show lasted 8 seasons, but only the first 5 are the ones that are worth your time 'cause Chris & Rita leave the show after the 5th season.)
Whoot! Beverly Hills 90210 is coming out on dvd on Tuesday! *sighs* Ah... to relive all those awesome 90's moments. Brandon, Brenda, Kelly, Donna, Steve, Dylan, Andrea & David. Now this was the tv drama that defined my teenage years, hehehe. :p Forget Dawson's Creek, Felicity and all those that followed. 90210 is the original teen drama.
Too bad i have no money to buy it now, but it's definitely going into my Amazon wishlist. ;)
Oh, Melrose Place is also coming out on DVD. :)

EDIT: Damn, now i'm feeling all nostalgic!
And nostalgic means more photos!!! Hehehe! Enjoy!!
Ok... so i completely forgot about this blog.... AGAIN!! Therefore i come entirely unprepared and have no idea what to write about. Heck, the only reason i remembered to post was because of the VOX newsletter thingie, hehehe. :p
Anyway...
Who's watching Heroes?!!! OMFG!!!! I love this show with a passion. I haven't seen the latest episode yet 'cause i tape the show and watch it later in the week, but wow... what i've seen of the show so far is awesome!!!
On other tv news... i've caught the Charmed bug and i've caught it bad, people!!
I never used to watch Charmed that much just an episode here & there, but i started watching the reruns starting with like season six, and i became hooked!!! Now i'm watching the season three on reruns to catch up, 'cause i hadn't watched the first few seasons before. I thought i wouldn't like Prue at first, but i love her (Paige is still my fave though) and am so sad knowing her character doesn't have much time left on the show. But i am looking forward to finding out how Paige came into the picture. I mean have seen a lot of episodes (mostly after Paige joined the show) and i know the things that are going to happen, but there's still some details i don't know.
Let's see what else... Hmmmm...
I have no idea. Oh, well... catch 'ya later!
Hugs!
I have to say, as former BSB fan i am highly intrigued by the new reality show 'House of Carters' to air October 2 on E! I'm still not sure if i'm going to watch, but my curiosity has been peaked.
More on the new celebrity-dysfunctional-family-reality-show on it's official website:
Ok, so i finally figured out what to do with this here thingie!!
I'm dedicating it to my favorite TV shows & movies... mostly tv shows though. I'll just use this to gush, rant & rave about my fave non-SVU/L&O shows.

So, i'm going to start with some new shows i started watching and am loving!!!
HEROES
Site: http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/
Info: "As a total eclipse casts its shadow across the globe, a genetics professor (Sendhil Ramamurthy, "Blind Guy Driving") in India is led by father's disappearance to uncover a secret theory -- there are people with super powers living among us. A young dreamer (Milo Ventimiglia, "Gilmore Girls") tries to convince his politician brother (Adrian Pasdar, "Judging Amy") that he can fly. A high school cheerleader (Hayden Panettiere, "Ice Princess") learns that she is totally indestructible. A Las Vegas stripper (Ali Larter, "Final Destination"), struggling to make ends meet to support her young son (Noah Gray-Cabey, "My Wife & Kids"), discovers that her mirror image has a secret. A fugitive from justice (Leonard Roberts, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") continues to baffle authorities who twice have been unable to contain him. A gifted artist (Santiago Cabrera, "Empire"), whose drug addiction is destroying his life and relationship with his girlfriend (Tawny Cypress, NBC's "Third Watch"), can paint the future. A down-on-his-luck Los Angeles beat cop (Greg Grunberg, "Alias") can hear people's thoughts, which puts him on the trail of an elusive serial killer. In Japan, a young man (Masi Oka, NBC's "Scrubs") develops a way to stop time through sheer will power. Their ultimate destiny is nothing less than saving the world…"
Thoughts: At first i was skeptic about it simply because i'm a huge fan of The 4400 and the premise seemed very similar. But upon further inspection heroes, may have some similarities, but it's definitely it's own show. I'm loving this show and it's the only serialized drama i'll be watching this season.
Extras: So not only is the show good, but it has lots of yummy eye-candy!!! Like for example the latest loves of my life: Sendhil Ramamurthy, Milo Ventimiglia & Santiago Cabrera. Pure hotness, i tell 'ya!

UGLY BETTY
Site: http://www.bettysuarez.com/
Info & Thoughts: Based on the highly successful Colombian Telenovela "Yo Soy Betty La Fea". This show is about a not so pretty girl named Betty that works for a major Fashion Magazine. This show is a true joy to watch and you can't help but love & feel connected to the character of Betty. If you had the chance to watch the original version - like I did - you'll definitely enjoy it twice as much, because you'll find yourself comparing the two and identifying the similar things between the two. Betty La fea has been so successful around the world that it produced a spin-off & a children's cartoon show. It also inspired a mexican version called "La fea mas bella" which in my opinion isn't very good, i guess because of it's lack of originality. Unlike the mexican version, the american version Ugly Betty, is completely original... because while it's based on Betty La Fea, it has it's own flavor, and doesn't seem re-hashed.

STUDIO 60 ON THE SUNSET STRIP
Site: http://www.nbc.com/Studio_60_on_the_Sunset_Strip/
Info: "Emmy Award-winning executive producer-writer (NBC's "The West Wing") Aaron Sorkin and Emmy Award-winning executive producer-director (“The West Wing”) Thomas Schlamme return to television with this crackling take on the drama behind the humor of producing a popular, late-night comedy sketch show, "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip." In the new drama series, Sorkin lays bare the backstage politics, romances and delicate balance between creative talent, on-air personalities and network executives in an instant text-messaging world. Prominent are Jordan McDeere (Amanda Peet, "Syriana"), a savvy new network entertainment chief who inherits a massive public relations disaster on the series -- even before she starts her first day -- and Matt Albie (Matthew Perry, "Friends") and Danny Tripp (Bradley Whitford, "The West Wing"), a brilliant creative team that she wants to resurrect the program."
Thoughts: Very funny show about the production of Saturday-Night-Live-type-show. Plus the return of the adorable Matthew Perry.
